Emergency Logbooks

August 18, 2010

Since starting this hobby addiction I’ve come across a number of really good caches that are let down by wet or full logbooks. Often they are caches not being maintained by owners who have stopped geocaching or who are no longer in the area. Sometimes they are older caches that have been around for years. With a few small exceptions they are almost always caches that are a joy to hunt down and find and they deserve to be looked after so others can take enjoyment from them in the future.

All is not lost! One of my favourite discoveries has been a post on Geocacher University showing how to make your own Emergency Logbook using the zine format. These emergency logbooks have been excellent and I now make sure I carry a number in my caching bag. Of course now I just need to remember to take my bag!

You can download the pdf for this zine and make your own.
