The Meaning of CHUR

November 17, 2010

Geocaching has some interesting acronyms and it’s fortunate that the GeoLex (Geocaching Lexicon) exists to help decipher them all. It’s an interesting read if you’ve ever wondered what CAAR, MEFF, NIAH, or YAPIDKA means. Some fine fellows (SteezyMartDeezy & slipps) I have cached with a few times decided they wanted to add to the lexicon by introducing the acronym CHUR, which stands for Cool How Ultra Remote.

Ironically they have not actually found any particularly remote caches and have been forced to use it on some urban caches.

So next time you are out the back of beyond and find that ammo can don’t forget to log it with a CHUR.
